"Charleston Meadow Apartments are rundown and run by crooks. I lived there for almost 6 years. The first few years were great. Until the property manager retired. Then the homeless drugs and bugs began to move in. The place is filthy. The park area for the children is a hazard and unsafe. There are homeless living in the washer and dryer areas. Using the trashcans as toilets'. Maintenance not doing their job. There is a bat infestation. They are trying to intimidate tenants by threatening to sue them for damages that are a direct result of the managements neglect. Roach infestation and a mice problem. Not to mention the mold and the mildew growing in the apartments due do leaks and lack of ventilation in the apartments. I didn't have working washers and dryer for 3 months. Went without pest control for months. I watched a 2 year old pick up a butcher knife out of the front yard of the apartments because a careless drunk neighbor forgot to put it up after be BBQ the night before. Needles by the dumpsters and people tweaking and trying to get into apartments at night. This has all been reported and nothing was ever done. It continues to turn into slum as a direct result of the property manager and The Maco Management company."

"They are absolute scum lords. The properties are not kept up, they attempt to intimidate elderly tenants. Their management staff is completely incompetent and ignorant. They have multiple suits against them. They refuse to repair basic things. Do not trust them."

"I wish I could give a zero star review. This place has been stealing money from me for almost a year now, I have receipts for every money order I send and over half of them end up “lost” and so they make me send more money orders and pay extra. Once my lease is up I will be seeking legal assistance in this matter and will get back every penny that was stolen from me."

"Care about there property mangers more than there tenants (Greenville) two faced with tenants say one thing to you on phone than 1hr later its all different wouldn't let roaches live there don't be African American because you really get heat!!!!! Don't let lighting which is an act of god work strike your unit according to(F )your lease is voided they don't have try to accommodate you until there ready. At this point I have a loved one damn near 80 yrs of age sleeping from couch to couch.was also told by (F) to stop calling when I've only called twice to get confirmation"
