"This was my first encounter with the law and hiring an attorney. The whole system is extremely disheartening and disappointing in that there's really no such thing as justice. My divorce didn't involve a lot of assets, so it seems like bc of that minimal effort was given and I wasn't taken seriously. Terrible/unclear communication throughout the entire process. I know nothing about the law or this process and was talked at like I did. I didn't even know I was divorced until 2 weeks after my divorce when I emailed and ASKED THEM...Candi responded that I wasn't, but her assistant responded that I was...and that they told me that on the day when they emailed me about my name change that wasn't correct in my papers. ZERO congrats, no phone call, nothing. Been there/done that attitude from the beginning...not personable and very minimal effort put forth understand my specific situation and be my advocate. My first meeting was in March and I wasn't even given the document where you explain your situation until July (& the trial was in August)...Seems like info an attorney who is supposed to be fighting for you would want to know at the very beginning.... They couldn't properly guide me through this process but had no problem charging me $95 for every one line email response, and in the end, all of my money for literally nothing. Divorce is traumatic no matter what the situation is and this experience just added more pain to an already horrible situation. Find someone who actually cares."
