"This is going to be such a glowing reference that it might sound like I'm related to, or employed by, the good people at Swanson Family Practice. LOL Most assuredly, this is not the case. I moved here several months ago from out of state. I was referred to Dina Swanson as a possible choice for a primary care practitioner, by a professional in another branch of healthcare, here in Danville. I am so grateful. I have never, ever, had such compassionate, insightful health care as I have received at Swanson Family Practice. In my experience, it is very rare to find a health provider who takes the time to work WITH you and not AT you. I have had to navigate some tricky health issues since I've started seeing Dina. I know my own body and have been dealing with its complexities for over 50 years. Although I'm not a health professional, I am not totally uninformed. She respects that, listens, and actually takes my insights into consideration along with her professional expertise when determining my plan of care. Amazing. I am delighted and grateful that Illinois has made it possible for Dina Swanson, as a family medicine nurse practitioner, to gain the extensive training, which has prepared her to provide the wide array of services required of a primary care provider. I was amazed that there is very little in the spectrum of primary healthcare that she is not qualified to treat. This is not available in all states. She is well trained, and delivers excellent care, but at the same time she is also very mindful about staying within the boundaries of her scope of practice. Her respect for what she is and is not licensed to treat is reassuring to me.
