"I had the misfortune of heading here for urgent care as they were about to do a shift change. The staff coming in were unfortunately not prepared for the morning. My urgent care team was like being on a roller coaster. flighty, incoherent, uncoordinated, boarder line uncaring, but sometimes decent. Perhaps if I came in later during their shift or a different shift I would have received decent care. By chance does anyone know an emergency cardiologist I can see? This place sent me home and I still like crud."
"Central scheduling is one of the single worst ideas in the history of healthcare. The person that thought it would be a good idea should be taken out and flogged. I have complained about St.V's scheduling process for a few years. It has only gotten worse!!! Very tempted to go back to IU facilities just to avoid the nightmare of scheduling @ St. V's! Sad, because the staff of St. Vincent's is exemplary!"
"I am currently at Ascension and my experience has been nothing but positive. The entire team, doctors, nurses have been extremely attentive and truly care and have helped me through a very difficult time. Thank you to the staff for helping me through this and for taking such good care of me. And a shout out to my amazing boy friend of 23 years for being there for me and taking such good care of me and my kitty, Butter’s! I am truly grateful and blessed!"
"Does NOT have an MRI machine. Not a legit ER. Basically, it's a bandaid station. If you have an actual emergency, don't go here. The level of care you will receive is below average. My whole ER visit no one ever asked me what my pain level was. No one took my temperature. I'm 9 week post op achilies surgery. My achilies and calf is doing well but a week ago this lump showed up on my shin. It progressively gotten worse bigger and more painful. I have no idea what it is. No one at physical therapy knew what it was and had never seen anything like itm they advised me to get it checked out ASAP. I go to the ortho indy walk in clinic. They tell me to go to the ER. I went in for this lump on my shin that over the course of a week has become like the worst shin splint i ever had in my life on my left leg. Told them this when I walked in the door. I also explained I was sent from ortho indy clinic bc they don't have an MRI machine and I need an MRI to several people. The front desk lady. The nurse who walked me to the room. This was at 330pm. They on purpose heard that and ignored it. My guess is to make a quick buck. Like if they actually cared about me they could of told me our MRI machine has certain hours we can only do an x ray as well. You should go to the one at 86th street. But instead they said ok we will figure this out. Then after I was all registered and in the room finnally at 530 the DR finally enters the room and is the one to tell me the MRI machine is closed and has certain hours. Why couldn't someone tell me that in the front? Because they wanted to make a quick buck and don't care about people. Dr said yeah you got a lump and with his magic Dr vision determined what it was. Man I hope that Dr saves them money with his magic MRI vision. So cocky and confident it's nothing despite several professionals who work with post op achilies pts telling me it's not normal and I should definitely hold off on therapy until we figure out what this is. My shin is killing me and has been I waited until I could not wait anymore and went to the ER to find answers and maybe some relief but nope not even gonna ask if I'm in pain. Bp was 160/92 hmmmm did they ask if I have high blood presser? Nope could it be that I'm under duress bc I'm in pain?? Yep. Did they care nope. Absolute trash. I hate this place and have told at least 100 people to never go here. When I was being discharged at like 7pm. I asked to speak to someone in charge bc I and insurance should not have to pay for this visit. I am frustrated and feel like they didn't help me at all. Like It was predatory. They knew what I was there for and with heald details. They knew they could not help me when I walked in the door and saw me anyway. The Dr. came back and was like what's the problem? I explained he said well what do you want me to do about it now? I said 1 don't bill me and 2 put a sign out front that tells the public what's operational at your hospital since half the equipment has certain hours. He smirked and it was legit like he was getting off on fact he didnt help me. Like a teenager at a taco bell who just completely botches the order and 100% doesnt care. Like dude it's not my fault the ER is a catch all for diagnostics. It's not my fault DRs have bank hours and when my body is in pain and needs somthing it's not on those hours. All I pay in health care and when I need it this is what I get? Why is health care so expensive? It's the same level of service at a taco bell. For what we pay it should be a 5 star experience. If I paid for anything else like pay for health care it would be white gloves and champagne. Hope that Dr is drowning in student loan debt. Prob is and that's why he took advantage and didn't help me at all. I basically got a discharge paper that says lump on shin and an x ray that shows nothing about the lump. If I never went to the ER. I'd be in the exact boat I'm in now. They did not help me out at all. If you want help go somewhere that will actually help. When you find that place let me know where it is please."
"Brought my daughter in to be seen, waited for over an hour. Every person that came in after us was taken back to be seen. When we asked to just leave and go somewhere else, their response was sorry we are taking the more serious cases back first. My daughters throat was completely swollen, affecting her ability to eat and speak. But someone with a stomach ache, knee pains, was more urgent than her being seen. I have never experienced such horrible service. I understand people are short staffed and under worked. But patients should be taken back in the order they come in, unless it's an actual emergency situation. I will not be bringing any of my children back here."
