"If you don’t know anything about taxes, these people will bleed you dry. They did the job right to my knowledge, but outright told me they didn’t know the prices THEY charge. I finally get home and opens my paperwork to realize they charged me HUNDREDS of dollars for a return an 8th grader could file! Shady practice that preys on the low-income and those with little tax knowledge. Next year I will try and learn to prepare myself."
"I have used Jackson Hewitt for three years and had a good experience every time but this time she was rude and said that she couldn't tell me what I owe and total of my my refund issued her and told me that we passed that point and she would not even go back and look"
"Very bad experience. The preparer told me 1st that I owed JH $545 which I didn't. So she had to call her supervisor because she had put something in wrong. Then she didn't know how to put one of the W2 forms in and she had to call her supervisor. Then when she finally got my taxes done she said I owed $375 for tax preparation and questioned that amount for filing a simple 1040 SR and when I said it was a short form she said it's not a short form and I said well I didn't do itemized deductions. Do she had to call her supervisor and then told me that she was giving me the senior discount so it would only be$305 which still seemed too high. Then she said that the earlier you file the cheaper it is. She also told me that it cost that much because I had 2 W2 and a SSA1099. I will never use Jackson Hewitt again!"
"First , I went to the other Walmart on the old side of town waited nearly an hour but noone ever showed up. So I went to Walmart on 157 . I was a walk in and the young lady helping me , Brittney Perkins. She got me in and out very quickly . She was absolutely the best tax peeper I've ever used , she was very informative. A huge thank you to Mrs. Brittany perkins."
