"I will be leaving this bank soon, because the debit card is a Discover and gives nothing but problems at merchants. Ever since they pushed the chip cards down our throats, there has been nothing but problems from People’s. They need to go to Visa tap to pay cards."

"I have been screwed over by this bank and customer service again and again. I have my cards and accounts shut down without my permission and with no warning. no phone call email or anything! I wasn't treated with disgust and told it was my fault. I was also scammed out of $250 and they gave me the run around refused to help then hung up. I am trying my best to find a new bank I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE. I'm tired of being tormented by these people. they do not care about you at all and the second you are an inconvenience you are public enemy number one. my statements keep changing and I'm being charged fees because I my account was charges fees after fees after fees its a whole waterfall of fees. there was no negative balance and I was charged an nsf fee and got another one after that because the fee made me negative then a slew of more fees and my account activity being changes over and over. I am so tired of my money being stolen I am beyond furious. they respond like all of this makes sense and its my fault. They are driving me mad and about homeless with all their theft"

"People's Bank of Alabama has the worse customer services period. Hartselle and Decatur do not care about the customer. Just barely do their job and are usually rude and condescending when you have a problem. They offered no help when I had 300 dollars taken out of my account then charged me insufficient funds fees. Bet no one will contact me about this either. I am switching banks BTW and telling everyone I know about the service there."

"I’ve been with people’s bank for over 6 years now. I got my first credit card with them in 2020 to start building my credit and it was great for a little while. I could use my people’s bank app to make my payments, even the user friendliness of the app was not great it worked. My credit was climbing and I was very happy on how things were going. Then some here awhile back peoples out sources there credit cards to a different company making it very difficult to make payments. Well here recently maybe my credit had been fluctuating terribly. Twice already my payments have not went through on the payment date, and when they report me to the credit bureaus it shows either I have to much debt, or I have not used my card enough. In the beginning people’s was great but I have grown to become very ill with there services."
