"Unfortunately it's in ruins, but if you're daring enough to go to the top of the castle you will have some of the most beautiful pics of the sunrise or sunset. This place must of been absolutely beautiful in it's day. A lot of graffiti inside and out but never the less was a really cool place to check out. Great for the younger crowd to explore or for any photographer looking to score a couple awesome pics."

"this is heartbreaking i worked for the man who bought the abandoned property and built a beautiful home into it back in the 1980s we stayed overnight on several occasions as house-sitters and i worked on the property doing maintenance now its in in ruins I feel old all of a sudden."

"As this castle was built by and lived in by my Great Grandparents, I’m glad it’s finally boarded up and with cameras right now. Nobody needs to traipse through and spray paint vulgarities anymore! I can only dream that someone will do something to take care of ELDA at this point…"

"Loved coming to this place. Tried to visit yesterday and sad to say I think this may be the end of Elda Castle. All of the entrances were boarded up, all the windows too. Someone definitely doesn’t want ppl going inside anymore. There’s also security cameras set up. Someone’s definitely watching the cameras as well cause they set the alarm off twice as a warning for me and my friend to leave. Don’t know what they’re going to end up doing with this place but it’s no longer available to visit to the public. :("

"Place is covered in graffiti which made for some cool photos, but not the castle I was expecting to see. Shards of glass everywhere and a fire was definitely set inside at some point. Also good luck finding it. The directions tell you that you've arrived, but you arrive to an unmarked gate that looks like the entrance to maybe someone's backyard. Definitely sketchy."
