UWA Cahaba Biodiversity Center

The UWA Cahaba Biodiversity Center, located in West Blocton, Alabama, is a world-class institution offering a unique opportunity to study in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the country. With a focus on research activities for faculty and students, the Center provides a platform for multi-discipline projects in areas such as botanical and zoological biodiversity, ecology, archaeology, water quality, and conservation land management. Situated on 2,100 acres in Bibb County, the Center is home to a variety of rare plants and animals, making it an ideal outdoor classroom and field trip destination for students and researchers. The University of West Alabama Foundation is currently seeking financial resources to support the Center's growth, including the construction of an Education Building, enhancement of existing facilities, and the establishment of a Stewardship/Maintenance Endowment.
