"He is my father’s Dr. in the hospital. Dr. Abney is one of the worst doctors I have ever had to deal with. He yelled at my 78 year old mother because we did not agree with his choice of rehab facilities. The way he has spoken to the family is wrong on so many levels. I would never recommend him . Because of him, I would not recommend anybody use DCH Hospital, because he will be the doctor."

"WORST CLINIC in Tuscaloosa. Absolutely zero customer service. Should not be in business!!!! Dr Abney works at DCH so if he is your primary care doctor you will not see him. The manager Warren has got to be the worst clown in the business. He bold faced lied to my face multiple times. This guy is not fit to sell used cars. Warren walked in my appointment and told me his staff did not say what they said to me. I have proof on the app the doctor and clinic received the NPI number he said he needed. This guy is the worst he should be working at a convenience store selling gas. Do not waste your time or especially risk your health with this clinic. The receptionist who is over the scheduling and referrals is awful. If this office does not get rid of these 2 bad apples they will never be successful. Doctor on duty and Manager do not follow through on what they say. You want your time wasted go ahead and be seen here. The credentials and ability to practice medicine should be recended. Absolutely Horrendous"

"This is the worst doctor I've ever met. I felt he was discussed to make a thorough exam every time I was in his clinic. He acts weird to the point that I almost can tell he is racist. I was pregnant and the last year I had a baby. He never asked one question how I was doing(postpartum) after I had the baby and If I needed anything. He commented on the weight I gained completely ignoring/forgetting I had a baby. His office never gotten back to me about the blood tests results I've done although I called five times or more. Everytime I was sick He would spend a max of two minutes doing a medical exam after making me wait one to two hours although his office is almost empty. I never gotten any of the referrals I asked for. Last time I went in sick, He left the room not telling me what I had and prescribed medicine although he didn't finish the physical. He gave the nurse the list of meds to give it to me without explaining anything. I asked her if that was safe for breastfeeding women she said no. Then went to ask him to change it. I am just a patient. He should know better, and know that I was breastfeeding. He never asked about my medical history not even once when they accepted me as a patient. I am surprised he still has medical license! Other doctors in this office are better. Stay away!! The five stars reviews are 95% not from real patients. I have been his patient since they opened in the 69S location. He was handed off Dr.Lowther's patients when they first opened their location at 69 S. I thought he was going to be as professional as she was, but no he's not."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Abney since 2020. I have always been EXTREMELY impressed with the physicians. HOWEVER... I have left several unreturned messages regarding prescription refills (was due to be refilled on the 9th!) only to be told today I would need to come in. (Another phone call by me.) I made the appointment for a couple of hours later, only to be RUDELY informed that I would not see the Dr. unless I paid upfront $50.00 for a missed appointment. I was not prepared to do this as I was not told when I made the appointment earlier.I asked to speak to Dr. Abney (Told no.). I then attempted to make arrangements to bring the money back.(Again no.) I was told my appointment was cancelled and to leave the premises. When I attempted to reason with the manager, I was told that if I did not leave immediately, the police would be called. I still cannot believe this actually happened."

"Love the staff, love the Drs. And my father and I both are patients here. Thorough and efficient exams. I never wait when I have an appointment. I would never go anywhere else for my medical needs and I recommend anyone in need of a GP call the Summit group and make an appointment as soon as you can. You will not regret it. Summer Price"
