"I grew up camping here. And going to the beach there. It has really been upgraded. Looking better all the time. We rented a cabin for a family gathering. It was nice. We were required to shuttle family from the front parking lot back to the cabin We were only allowed 3 cars back there. We had 3 cars parked at the cabin and 6 cars.parked up front. I did not like this. However, I do not really have a suggestion to get around it. I do think they do what they can at the park I do recommend Scales Lake Park often!"

"I had higher expectations. Can not swim in the entire lake. Roped off area only. They said they only put sand in that area. Would have been better for my taste if I would have had more area to use. Nice staff.. Clean sandbank. I did not have time to tour the rest. Trails, cabins, petting zoo, etc. Good experience!"

"A very nice Public Park. Very well maintained with plenty of activities for all to enjoy. Have an rv? No problem, good campsite sizes for all different lengths. Our 45 foot fifth wheel fit with no issue. Just Tent Camping? No problem, an assortment of sights on the lake and in the woods. No place to stay? No problem, beautiful cabins for rent right on the lake. With several levels of bike and walking trails, sandy beach, boat launches (electric motors only) and a water slide! Lots to do in the country."

"They have awesome day activities but the campgrounds are crowded and a mess. The employees in the gate house has little knowledge of the grounds paid 8 dollars for wood to drive to the maintenance shed to learn they don't keep it covered and it was all water logged and wouldn't burn. The campsites are piled on top of each other probably the smallest I've ever stayed on. The Bike track is amazing has a nice beach. The primitive site we stayed on didn't have a fire ring and was in the middle of a loop road. There is a noise in the distance like a roar noise 24 hours a day so it's not just the sounds of nature. It's a nice escape but the campsites are not worth it really. Will probably not come back to camp.there is trash everywhere on the primitive side. There is a security patrol."
