"Heavy smell of smoke even though it was a nonsmoker's room. Remote for TV didn't work."

"On making a trip to chicago from Southern Illinois, decided to stay over , would not recommend this place to anyone. rooms were clean, we had rented two rooms. The heating system didn't work in either room . One room had a space heater that just barely kept up with th chill. The other room turned on the heater and it never got above 58. I had went to sleep soon after entering the room. Woke up about midnight cold, Took the covers off second bed to keep warm. Then next morning upon trying to leave couldn't get out of the room. Had to call front desk to get door opened."

"Absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Entered the building and it immediately stank of weed/cigarettes, was told to make sure we "didn't smoke in our room" since it was a non-smoking room. Entered the room and it immediately smelt like no one has ever listened. The whole room was gross, the floors looked like they get vacuumed Maybe once a month, the bathroom was in a similar state. The sheets and covers were absolutely gross, covered in stains that looked like bodily fluids, junk under the covers, etc. Immediately went back to the front desk and requested a refund as there was no way we were staying there. (We had some friends staying in other rooms and there's were just as bad if not worse) Even though we checked in using Wyndhams own site we were told we weren't able to get a refund. Been dealing with their customer support team since and have not been getting any responses back. Do. Not. Stay. Here. Which really sucks as it's in a great location."

"Got there and they said there was no rooms available for early checkin, which is fair but it didn’t seem like there was much of any people there. Maybe 4 cars in the parking lot. My room was on the second floor with no elevator. There was an older black lady in her 60’s who was so sweet and communicative with me unlike the front desk man who seemed annoyed. The room was horrid, looked like it hadn’t had a deep clean in a long time. Grime in the crevices, surfaces all filthy. I was warned not to turn off my tv because it probably wouldn’t come back on. My sheets had orange-ish red stains that resembled cleaned up blood. The fitted sheet and mattress pad kept slipping off of the bed. The mattress kept moving off of the box spring. Worst of all I tried to get some sleep and felt something bite my leg that woke me up. I’m pretty sure it was a bed bug. I’d give it 1 star but the housekeeper was very sweet."

"Staff were nice. Location close to main road But these pictures have to be be "old". Yeah same colors etc. But soooo dirty, run down and broken things. Paint smears. Stains on the shower curtain. Hanging dust wads on the return vent. Cigarette burns on the cover of 1 of the 2 queen room bed. Heavy l, heavy smoke smell and cleaners as in trying to cover the smoke. Like it was hard to breathe and we both woke up with migraines."
