"Rebecca has been my therapist for nearly a year now and has helped me uncover significant (and deeply buried) trauma that I have endured over my lifetime. Not only is she a great listener, but she is extremely compassionate and good at advising on how to overcome that trauma in a healthy way. I admire how she teaches me how to face my trauma, and work through it, without letting it negatively impact my life, now. I am nowhere near being done with therapy, but even in this past year, I have grown so much as a person, and as a partner in both my marriage and my other relationships. I 100% attribute that to her and how she has gone about helping me. A major thing I would like to call out, too, is that she treats you like a person, with a lot of sympathy/empathy, and not like a project. I have gone through counseling a few times throughout my life, and I constantly felt like I was more of a "project" than a person, with feelings. She makes sure to treat me like a person who needs healing and compassion from others, and not as someone who needs to be fixed. I have thoroughly enjoyed this past year of counseling and look forward to my future as her client, as well!"
"I have never met a counselor less willing to show grace to a patient. Ms. Welsh sent us paper work to fill out but did not tell us the paperwork was a hard stop before our first appointment. When we arrived (on time), she walked into the waiting room, saw us, didn’t speak, walked back out and sent an email telling us this just wouldn’t work without the paperwork. I called (no answer) and sent her an email (all from her waiting room) saying we were planning on paying cash. She walked back town, pulled us out of the waiting room, and told us “this just doesn’t look good.” Needless to say we departed her office, very sad to have put work into finding a nice counselor, but very glad to have learned this early on. This is the first one star review I have ever written."
