Sonesta Select Indianapolis Carmel

"My husband and I stayed 1 night as he had a heart procedure and had to be at heart center at 5 am. We arrived at check in time 4 and the girl working up front was very sweet. The lobby was beautiful and the location of the hotel was perfect for us. We got a King room on ground level. The room was small but very clean, quiet and comfy. We both are ocd and get creeped out when it comes to staying anywhere. We were pleased to find the room was clean, smelled nice, the bed was wonderful and everything seemed to be just We needed. We didn't swim, its not our thing but we did check out the pool and hot tub. Both seemed to be clean, the room was warm and had a pretty view of the garden area. The hotel wasn't very busy and we felt safe with the location. If you're looking for a place while family has a procedure done at the heart center I'd strongly recommend. I'm glad I didn't go with a different location. I had read some reviews and they had me concerned. However when we arrived we were both pleased and if we have to be back in Indy, we will for sure stay here again."

"If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I got here and there was hair on the toilet, in the shower, and on the pillow case. There were dead bugs on the floor and ceiling of the bathroom. They gave us a room with one king bed rather than the room with 2 queen beds like we payed for. And when we walked in there was only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper. Then, we leave the room and come back and one of our keys just doesn’t work. Never going to one of these hotels again. I never write bad reviews but this place is disgusting. The staff was also very rude and unhelpful. He looked like he hated his job."

"The hotel was quiet, had a comfortable bed we felt safe. We had parking and there was decent lighting in the parking lot-We returned very late from an event in Indy and there was a very nice older lady at the front desk. Shower pressure was good and we did bump into a housekeeping staff the next morning who was very pleasant. The check in staff acted like they loathed their job and they were repeating lines they memorized in a monotone dreaded cycle. They weren't rude, but nothing pleasant at all through the whole process."

"The only good thing about the hotel is the location. The staff was extremely rude. They would rather be on their phone than helping guests. My room was so dirty. Stains on walls, dirty floors, dusty shelves and decor, bathroom not clean. When we opened the pullout, it was absolutely disgusting. When I went to change rooms, the front desk staff was so rude. Gave me a room with 2 double beds, which was way too small for my spouse and I. They had plenty of 2 queens available even though she said they did not. I checked online to see if I could book one still. I'm not sure who is rating this outdated hotel so high. I am a constant traveler, and this will be my last sonesta. Mind you, we checked in at 6 pm and left for dinner. Didn't return until bedtime. It was almost 11pm. when we discovered the pullout nightmare. I was appalled that the front desk woman stated that when you get a pullout, that is what you get. I would never allow my animal to sleep on such filthy bedding, let alone my child. Find a different place you will thank me later. As to their reply: I was not offered any compensation. Moved to a room with 2 smaller beds and was told she could not move me have 2 queens. I even offered to pay additional. This place is horrible."
