"Had everything I needed; clean, good layout. Used to Publix (hard for any grocery store to live up to Publix), but overall, a decent grocery store, would definitely recommend. Said it was a sixteen minute walk on Google maps... This is not accurate, almost double that from the Congress Plaza Hotel. Or so it seemed. Not really nearby if you stay here. But, lots of restaurants nearby on the way. Just know if you're at Michigan and Harrison, you're gonna walk a bit."

"It is fine if you can do your shopping without interacting with a human being. But be beware if you do. Specifically, I did not know that using a coupon or politely ordering thick ham slices could trigger such rude responses."

"This store is ok. I live right up the street from this Jewels Osco grocery store. Every time I go in here I’m always being watched. The in store mystery shoppers are so obvious in their mystery, I be like really, y’all watching the wrong person when u should be watching other cultures as my ethnic color is African American. Not to mention I’ve seen a couple of people that’s of another culture other than black, shopping while being able to have their own personal bags they put stuff in. I thought we had to use grocery carts, the point is , if that was me or any other Black person, I’m sure we’d be looked at as Stealing. Period. SMH 11/15/23"

"This Jewel-Osco closes at 12 midnight and I know I lot of the employees are ready to go home. People were still trying to enter the store a couple of minutes before close. The employees at this Jewel-Osco showed such professionalism and patience when it comes to closing the store for the day."

"This store is the most unorganized grocery store in Chicago. I tried checking out in the wine and spirits area, and was told I was not able to, when there was no one up there. The workers are very unprofessional, and go out of their way to make things harder for you. I’ve been to a lot of inner city, grocery stores, and none of them have been this horrible. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this grocery store. The worker on Monday morning, October 9, 2022, in the wine and spirits area, was extremely rude and disrespectful."
