"Friendly local grocery. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Prices have gone up quite a bit recently and quality/selection has decreased. It's kind of disappointing now."

"The store is always clean and most of the time the employees are very helpful. But it is so frustrating when frozen foods on top shelf are at the back of the shelf and therefore, out of reach. And it is equally frustrating when the meat department does not keep product in the coolers."

"Expensive. Realistically you would be better off to just drive on in to olney or effingham with the money you spend in gas you'll save in what you dont spend. The staff had all been friendly in the past but the other day a cashier made a rude comment about a child in the store and it was not constructive it was simply distasteful. If you're that grouchy retire."

"This is our (Newton, IL residents) local grocery store & since Martin's bought it I can say even though the prices went up so did the quality of food. I think the produce is great but what I'm most impressed with is the meat they offer. It is of the highest quality & a great selection. So I guess you get what you pay for as they say."
