"I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I've been coming here since the mod 2000's for the history and the ghosts. The staff is always amazing, the rooms are a slice of history, and the ambience is spooky."
"We stayed in the Josephine garden room. The room was beautiful. Comfortable king size bed, large smart tv, in room coffee maker, beautiful couch and chair to relax in. The bathroom was beautiful with a large shower and had all the supplies you'd need with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer. Our only complaints would be the lack of water pressure/water was warm (not hot) and the room is next to a noisy event space (where staff were cleaning up and playing loud music around 11 pm)."
"I was so excited to stay here after learning about the Myrtles Plantation almost all my life. It was almost surreal that I was able to stay inside the house. We stayed in the David Bradford Suite. Great size room, bathroom, living area and sole access to the wrap around porch which was nice. This only allowed us more time to take pictures through the windows. This room also has no TV and limited access to plug ins. This only was an issue when Chloe, one of most active spirits, wouldn’t stop moving her chair. This room is directly connected to the office or the room with “Chloe’s corner” in it. I definitely wasn’t able to sleep and this is normal for me when staying in creepy places like this. You could definitely hear her moving her chair all night long. I was also grabbed and heard other things among the night. Keep in mind, the manager did tell us that there was only one other room booked inside the house that night on the other side of the house. This house is creepy, both tours are great and creepy. Rainy was an amazing tour guide and was very knowledgeable. She is just as scared to stay in the house as I was by the way. She’s only stayed there once and never has again. The breakfast was good and the grounds are beautiful. If you want a scary experience, stay in the house. Respect and talk to the spirits. They can hear you and will respect you back. Definitely stop by if ever in the state. I am so thankful I was able to visit this beautiful plantation!"
"Stay at The Myrtles Plantation if you are in this area! It's fabulous. All of the staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the ghost tour but alas, we didn't see any spirits. The only thing I felt was lacking was the breakfast the next day. Not my cup of tea. But the fine dining restaurant there was great! Make a reservation!"
"Took my son to New Orleans for Christmas vacation and stopped at The Myrtles Plantation on our way home. I’ve been fascinated with its history since hearing about it on TV many years ago. Our experience was exceptional! From the check-in process to checking out, our stay was delightful. We stayed in the Caretaker Cabin, which is well-appointed, cozy, and relaxing. We enjoyed the night tour of the house and its history. Laney was amazing and brought her stories to life with her amazing personality. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, and our server was knowledgeable and professional. We toured the property often, which is incredibly beautiful, and even caught what we think is an entity (see photos). The only moment of dissatisfaction was with breakfast. The process for receiving our meal was confusing and unpleasant. Limited menu choices and seating. The servers seemed less than willing to assist. Overall, visiting The Myrtles is a must if you enjoy the hospitality of an old-fashioned Southern plantation with an incredible history complete with ghosts! Enjoy!"
