"The physicians are all very different but most of them I like. However, I would not recommend Pediatrics East for many reasons. The staff is terrible. They are extremely busy, therefore they are always irritable, moody and unhelpful. Staff is more concerned about following a very lengthy process and arguing about it than assisting their patients and parents. 1. My son had RSV and needed an inhaler as his asthma was very bad during this time. I had to wait on 25min hold to speak the the first staff member. She transferred me to the "immediate" line that took 5 more minutes. She than asked me 10 questions to tell me the doctor is very busy and she will call me back. It took 45minutes to call me back. Then I had to go into the doctor and they didn't want me to go there and recommended Urgent Care (my son is under 2 and no one will take him except the hospital) I argued my way into an appointment to get a simple inhaler called to the pharmacy. 2. My son has bad sinuses and allergies and gets ear infections often. The doctor knows this as we go to doctor way too much with one of my children. I called on vacation and spent 22 minutes on hold to leave a message for the nurse. She called back and left a voicemail to call her. I called and waited 18 minutes to leave a voicemail. I called the appointment line and waited on hold for another 12 minutes and she transferred me to he nurse 5 minutes later. The nurse takes notes and says the doctor will need you to go to Urgent Care to look at their ears. I said it's common, the doctor knows it's common for him but if he says this please have him call me. She hung up on me. I then called back for another 25 minutes. The nurse who hung up one me was Karess. 3. My child fell at daycare and needed stitches. No active bleeding but a deep cut. I called for 40 minutes and left a message for the nurse. I received a call back and they said go to Urgent Care. I said he doesn't need Urgent Care he needs stitches, do you do stitches? They do stitches but I could go to Children's Hospital. Why would I pay $500 deposit for the hospital when I can pay $40 and see you that is also 45 minutes closer? These situations are everytime we need Pediatrics East. You ALWAYS have to leave multiple voice messages. You will ALWAYS be directed to Urgent Care or Children's Hospital and you will ALWAYS deal with very unfriendly, rude staff who are not required to take responsibility for their actions. If your child is truly in an emergency have another option because this organization is not timely or helpful. They are here for annual checkups and they do not have the capacity to assist you for anything outside of that. The staff is so rude and hangs up that if this is a true emergency your child would be in danger. If you are looking for a pediatrician I would not recommend them. It's easier to start with a good pediatrician than it is to change once you have one and this is a very difficult place to deal with."

"Our children see Dr. Wilson and she is AMAZING! She went above and beyond when my son was sick as a newborn and now with my kids and some genetic heart concerns. She has often called me herself to discuss findings and answer questions and if she doesn't know an answer, she admits it and refers to other specialties to help find the answer. The nurse is amazing as well and truly cares for the patients. We have had good experiences with pretty much every doctor we have seen at Peds-East (for sick visits), but would not trade Dr. Wilson for anything! Very very thankful for her and her team ❤"

"I like the doctors weve seen so far (Kutney, Lytle, Rochelle, Miller) except for one (Dietlein) that had the nerve to make three different weight comments about my two or three month old. Trying to get ahold of the office is a little bit of a pain though. I've been having a better time of late getting through to them and I've always been able to get an appointment same day of needed."

"Our pediatrician is perfectly fine. However, this office is extremely poorly managed. It takes nearly two hours for the simplest appointments. They won't schedule your next appointment while you're there, but force you to remember to call back to schedule a month later. If you try to call the office, you'll remain on hold for upwards of an hour, if you ever speak to anyone at all. Prescriptions they say are called in never make it to the pharmacy."

"The second I walked in the building the front desk worker was the complete opposite of what she should be. The doctor's office can sometimes be intimidating and a warm welcome would help ease nerves. It is best to always be courteous and treat others the way you would want your family to be treated. Well, she acted as if she did not want to be here, did not want to talk, did not smile once, and gave smart remarks. If you work with the public, you should be people friendly. Then, my next interaction was with the lady that called our name back and she acted the same way. It is sad to see how this place has changed. The Deerfoot office used to be the friendliest. So, if you come here in a good mood, be ready to leave in a bad one."
