"I was told over the phone by the receptionist if got there by 330 I can be seen. This is on a Friday. I got there at 2 PM at 3:30. The manager came to me and told me that she can't see me because they want to leave by 5 pm! Before I left , she wanted to get a copy of my driver's license and my insurance card? I called my insurance company , and they is watching this office to make sure that they don't charge anything on my account. I drove all the way from BESSEMER to Tuscaloosa. The manager should be ashamed of herself!"

"Dr Abney was wonderful after being seen by a Dr that was not mine,Dr Toiletson he didn’t call my medications in that I’ve been on for over 20 years! He’s only been a Dr for 2 yrs! Not experienced enough to be working in a large diverse practice! Causing patient harm through negligence. One medication I’m on you just can not stop taking he put my life and well being in danger."

"I was a patient here happily for 2 1/2 years seeing Dr Abney . Today I i go to my appt and some young dr whome I have never met tells me that he’s not comfortable with the meds that I have been taking ( for 5 plus years) and will be. sending me to specialist all over town because he’s unfamiliar with those types of meds ! save urself a visit ! I will be finding a new dr !"

"Horrible service. I was supposed to get 2 referrals. After calling multiple times because I'm in bad pain and 8 days later, finally one of the referred doctors called just to tell me that my insurance is out of network and to go somewhere else. For the 2nd referral, I specifically requested a place to go. My request was completely ignored by pinnacle physician group and sent somewhere else which doesn't work for my driving distance or working hours. Tried complaining to the office manager but again, was completely ignored and never received a call back. Changing my PCP now. Don't go there. They don't care about patients."

"Horrible practice. Nobody ever answers the phone, you have to go through each number in the automated system to talk to a real person. This is important because if you just leave a message you will not get a return call. Front desk staff is very rude in person or over the phone, will hang up on you if you finally get through and demand to speak with someone, then if you call back they will either not answer the phone or will pick it up and hang back up immediately. Refused to refill my blood pressure medication and insisted I make an appointment, this was during the work week right before a holiday weekend and I had just had an appointment three weeks prior. They never called in prescriptions to the correct pharmacy on the first try and would not call the mail order pharmacy back when they would request prior authorizations or even just simple automated refills. Eventually someone will face serious, life threatening consequences under the "care" of this group, if that hasn't happened already. I guess all this explains why they had changed business names and locations several times over the course of a year and a half or so that I was seeing them. They are currently doing business as "Summit physicians group", avoid at all costs. Most of my blood pressure problems probably came from having to deal with this office."
