"I arrived from my first visit 30 minutes early for paperwork. The paperwork was completed in about 10 minutes, but I was not seen for almost 2 hours. I was numbed before I ever saw the physician and never had a procedure that required it. Once numbed, I sat for an additional 30 minutes alone. I only spoke with Dr. Stafford for about 10 minutes, and the initial discussion was great. However, then staff came in and insisted that I pay for my CT and Allergy Testing up front and in full with no option for a payment plan. Had I been informed, this was the policy I likely never would have chosen this group to provide services or waited weeks for set appointment. The total also happened to be almost the entirety of my deductible remainder for the year, and when I pushed for a payment plan, I was made to feel less than and that it was not an option. When pressed further, some of these scans like a CT it turns out could be provided by the hospital, that this office is inside of which of course offers payment plans. By that point, it is out more like a Shakedown for my deductible rather than any interest in treating me for what I came in for. The physician belittled me because they could not treat me without said tests, which is understandable but the way in which they went about it and sure I would never return. So after waiting two and a half hours, being numbed for a process that was not required and that could conveniently be billed to my insurance company, shaken down for hundreds of dollars, I received a nasal spray as my only real form of treatment. After discussing my issues with the visit with the director for this group, I did find this a standard practice for them, and I only wish I had known before. I unfortunately have had to see a number of specialist and have had to have a fair amount of Imaging done before in my life, but I've never had someone insist that I pay in full upfront on my very first visit for all of said tests and then to be belittled for requesting any treatment after waiting weeks for the appointment. Additional note, I came to this visit after having records sent over that included x-rays, lab work and Physicians notes for several months that had been treating my symptoms that were not resolving hence the reason for seeing an ENT. The physician I saw belittled the Physicians I had seen previously spoke poorly of them and their abilities and refused to look at any of the information that I had brought. I see many great reviews, and I'm sure that this is a brilliant doctor, but my experience was extraordinarily lacking."
