5 Star Nails and Spa

"I have gone in several times during the past 6 months. Very clean and nice decor. Each time I'm greeted with "Hi honey" and Helen always has a great attitude. Another lady that works there looks over and just smiles. She always has a beautiful smile. When you go, they treat you like family. Have there been small issues, sure -but nothing that makes my acrylics wrong. Have I had a little knick -sure, but I've had things in other salons. Part of having sharp tools. They are patient and accommodating. As a person with mobility issues, they have made things so easy for me to come in for nails and pedi. I've read other reviews - and sure, they yell. They get loud. But unless you're fluent in Vietnamese, how can other reviewers say the workers are being treated horribly and yelled at. First, most are family. Sister-in-law, aunts, and friends. If I had to work with my family, I know I'd have my days, too! Yesterday, I took my 9 year old and we had a girls afternoon. Both of us had a great experience and had a great time. Thanks Helen and others! See you in 2-3 weeks!"

"I normally don't have issues when I come here, but when I was in last for a dip appointment, I felt rushed, my skin was dremmeled and took a week to heal, and my nails were very thick and uneven. I had the younger nail technician prior to this appointment, and she was very methodical and checked to be sure every step of the way that I was happy with my nails. I didn't catch her name, but she is very kind and polite and takes her time. She's the only one of their staff I would recommend."

"Decent service compared to the other salons around town. For a quick mani/ pedi, this place can do it. They also offer waxing , which I love for the convenience."

"I made an appointment a week ahead for three people to get manis and pedis and was reassured we all would sit together. Once we arrived that was not the case. We were all immediately separated and stuck with rude employees besides one which was the youngest employee there (who was quite kind). The lady that did my nails and pedi rushed. I was maybe in the pedi chair for not even 10 minutes and it was far from a relaxing pedicure experience I have had in the past at different salons. The nails she did were extremely uneven and extremely messy and when I addressed this with her multiple times throughout her doing them she reasssured me she would fix it. At end they were still incredibly uneven and the worst I have ever had. When I addressed this with her once more she was extremely rude and attempted to tell me they were not slanted and uneven so I gave up and went home with expensive nails that I hated. The rest of my party had the same experience here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND and I will never return."

"Edit: i called this morning and talked to the manager. They redid them and it was much better. They picked the wrong color for my middle nail, but i also wasnt paying attention to that color until it was on, and its pretty so im not upset about it. Ive not had my nails done since i was a teenager, but decided to pamper myself. I was disappointed. My nails arent quite right. My nail tech never spoke and kept like slapping my hands to get me to move my hand the way he wanted. I was told one price when i explained what i wanted, but charged more. And i did not have time to argue or get them redone. I would not recommend this place."
