"We were still able to drive across, but a bypass bridge was built. It won't be long before he Crooks bridge will be shut off from vehicular traffic. Nevertheless, a great example of Hoosier archetecture."

"I love covered bridges. We went to Indiana for their Covered Bridge Festival. In addition to the bridges, there were several city festivals, as well as other places with crafts, homemade baked goods, antique buildings (a one-room schoolhouse) and Amish carriages (the sound of a horse clopping through a covered bridge was awesome!)."

"The approach to the bridge is a bit steep and I wasn't sure my little car would make it without scraping but once we got the courage to try we did just fine. The bridge is located in a pretty spot in the middle of the country with beautifully farmed crop lands all around. Interestingly the locals seem to prefer to cross the creek via the ford located next the covered bridge."
