"I had reservations for January 18-January 22. My flight got delayed the night of the 18th to the 19th. So I changed the dates on my booking to the 19th-22nd. My flight arrived just before 8am on the 19th. My family was iced in, so I had to take a Taxi to Comfort Inn. I arrived around 830am and I kindly asked for an early check-in but I got denied from the Front Desk Clerk. She said I could check in at 3pm, a 7 hour wait!! I told her that I guess I'll hang out in the lobby for 7 hours and she rudely told me, "No early check ins, no exceptions!!". Right from the beginning, the hospitality that I received was shameful!! I had to wait 7 hours??!! So I called up Laquinta Inn and they said I could check in right away had a Hotel room for me ready!! So I called the Taxi to come back for me to take me to Laquinta, where I received excellent care from the time I checked in (10am) until I checked out on the 22nd. I'm from California, but my family lives in Mississippi. I've been to Columbus many times and received that Southern Hospitality on all occasions, except for this trip. Thank you for rejecting a paying customer, because if you didn't, I would of never found out about Laquinta Inn!! They took great care of me!! Comfort Inn...you lost my business for good!!"
"The stay was going well until I came across the rudest clerk on Christmas morning at my checkout.. I waited in the lobby for about 5 minutes no one showed up I stepped into the back hallway of the desk and simply said hello and his office was right there and his first comment was .. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ SIGNS.. I said there is not a sign at the desk.. there is a sign at the far left of the desk.. not centralized at all, stating he is away with another customer and to press the button on the phone.. there are so many signs on that desk repeatedly saying the same thing and all in black and white . Nothing was different about that sign to make it stand out.. he continues to say do you just walk in and bust into people's offices and continues to tell me I don't read.. his customer service was horrible. I come from the corporate world and if he was under my supervision that would be a no go for sure.. not sure he was upset that he was working on Christmas Day or just having a bad day .. but you cannot take it out on the customers.. that's not good for business.. my suggestion would be to centralized the signage and the phone the patron is supposed to press the button on. Also, put a highlighted color on the sign that states you are away. Anyway.. because of him I will no longer patronize your establishment in Columbus Ms when I am home visiting. Times are hard these days and I'm not trying to put his job in jeopardy, but he does need some customer service etiquette classes.."
"We where a bit surprised when we checked in that the hotel was under renovation. We did not see any notification of this when we booked the room a few weeks back. It appeared that the renovation had been going on a while so it wasn't some thing that started since we booked. The floors in our room where dirty but based in the attitude of the staff at the front desk when we checked in we just lived with in. The 2 women that checked us in where probably the least friendly front desk people that I have deal with in all my travels. These The one with the huge eye lashes was the worst of the 2. You know you made a bad choice when you have to sign a "No Partying" for at and a form saying you understand the hotel in under renovation. The hotel wants to take not responsibility for what they are doing and seems obvious they do want anyone to complain because they won't really care. I usually don't do reviews but those 2 at the front desk should not be in that position and I think everyone should know."
"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Comfort Inn Suites, and despite the expected mess caused by ongoing renovations, it was truly an amazing experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exceptional comfort of the room. The bed was so comfortable that my partner and I have decided to purchase the same mattress for our own home. It provided us with the most restful and rejuvenating sleep, and we couldn't have asked for more in terms of room comfort. Beyond the room, the staff at Comfort Inn Suites was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Housekeeping visited daily to tidy up the room, leaving it in impeccable condition every time we returned. One standout feature of our stay was the breakfast bar. The food offered was simply amazing. However, I'd like to remind future guests to exercise discretion when serving themselves, as it's a shared space, and others would appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the delicious spread as well. Overall, our experience at Comfort Inn Suites was fantastic, and we are already planning our return. Despite the renovation-related mess, the comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff, and the delightful breakfast made our stay unforgettable. We can't wait to visit again!"
