Red String Alterations

"I had a disappointing experience with RedStrings alteration business. Initially, I requested a simple hem alteration on a pair of leggings, leaving a sample pair for reference. However, upon pickup, they had mistakenly altered the sample pair against my wishes and neglected the main alteration I needed. Despite their attempt to rectify the situation by paying for the altered leggings, I decided to give them another chance with a second pair, which also fell short of expectations. Today, when I went to collect all four pairs, they only returned three, citing payment as justification for keeping the fourth. This lack of accountability and refusal to return my property is unacceptable. Moreover, the unprofessional attitude displayed by their staff during our dispute only further soured my experience. Overall, my interaction with RedStrings was marked by poor communication, inadequate service, and a disregard for customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend their services based on my negative encounter."

"Wish I could say I was pleased or not. I stopped by today with a sport coat that needed the sleeves lengthened. Interestingly, I was told, "We don't work on men's suit jackets." Ohhhh-kay. It appears they work on women's suit jackets and from a couple of reviews on here, it looks like they might have worked on some men's clothing (including suit alterations). So I just accepted the statement she made and left. I do think it would be a good idea to note your restrictions and, perhaps, not advertise that you do alterations. After all, altering the sleeves on a sport coat is likely one of the more easily achieved requests a true alterations shop would do. As I said, not a comment about the quality of their work which, clearly is quite good from other comments. Just a little strange to be told what I was told."

I got my bridesmaid dress hemmed, and I was very happy with the results. I dropped it off during the holiday season with little time left before needing it back, and they quickly finished it for me."
