"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Northwoods Saloon . I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to help me choose the perfect cocktail for my taste. In addition to the delicious cocktails, The Northwoods also has a great food menu. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Northwoods Saloon. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the cocktails were delicious, and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone looking for a great night out."

"Had not been there in quite some time and decided to grab dinner there. Will not go again. Used have great dinners and now only sandwiches. Soup on the menu was not available so we had the spiciest chicken tortilla soup we have ever had. My husband wanted walleye but no dinners anymore so he ordered the walleye sandwich without the bread. It was just ok. I ordered the chicken fajita wrap which was basically just chicken lettuce tomato cheese in a wrap. No seasoning of any kind. Chicken fajita to me would be chicken cooked with peppers and onions with fajita seasoning. This wrap was really blah! The fresh made chips were good but not enough reason to ever go back. Sorry to see it has gone so far downhill from what it used to be."

"It's seat your self, so you don't know if anyone even knows you there. Once you've got back up from your seat to let them know you're there, the service was very good. The food is great. It was a bit too loud for me. I couldn't talk to anyone because I couldn't hear them. It's more like a sports bar atmosphere than a restaurant but the food is very good and so was the service."

"It's always a fun experience to come here and have the corned beef once a year. It's got a lot of flavor and is extremely lean, and is only available from the start of March till St. Patrick's Day. Totally worth coming, for sure. The inside of the building is reminiscent of a forest lodge, which you can really find yourself getting lost in the atmosphere if you enjoy the outdoors. Food came incredibly fast, even with them being at practically full capacity due to St. Patrick's Day, and all had a wonderful taste to it. Server was fast and helpful in getting us all set. Fun little tip, they will dye the beer green for a little festive touch!"

"Great time with the family, food delicious, atmosphere wonderful and welcoming, prices reasonable. They had a cool game area for kids with Pacman, hunt shooting game, and even pinball. Decent IPA selection. Surprising find in the Steger/Crete area. Will come again."
