"Based on other reviews, maybe we came on an off night. The food is not good and although the tables were clean, the rest of the place is not. There wasn't any trash around, but the floors are filthy; they look like they haven't been swept, mopped or vacuumed since they opened in the morning (at the very least). The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and smelled horrific. The women's bathroom has moldy standing water behind the toilets and one of the stall doors has black tape over the lock (not sure what that's about). For reference, we ordered the "munchie" appetizer which comes with mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and fried mushroom caps. One bite into the onion rings and mushroom caps and oil comes out. I ordered the baked mostacciolli which the sauce tasted straight out of a can and the cheese just tasted off. It came with soup or salad, I chose lemon rice soup initially, but she came back to tell me they were heating it up. I changed to a salad with honey mustard. I love honey mustard and this didn't taste good at all. My kids ordered the kids hot dog & the hot tender basket; they seemed fine with it. My mom ordered the turkey dinner. She said it was good but there was something off about the sauce/gravy. It was sweet and she didn't care for it. My fiance ordered the basket of tips (BBQ rib tips), he says it was a lot of sauce and the texture wasn't the greatest. The service was quick & friendly, so I will give them that (hence the 2 stars), but this will be our first and last time eating here. Overall, I would put this at the equivalent of eating dinner at Denny's."

"We went to this restaurant for the first time after passing by it daily for years. Some friends asked us to join them there and we agreed not knowing what to expect. It is now my go to place for breakfast at dinner or any other time. I have fallen in love with the way they make their waffles. The next time we went I encouraged one of my friends to have the waffle and she also agreed that the waffle was excellently made. So, So, So, light and airy, flavorful, yet not at all soft or mushy on the outside (how they do it consistently I want to know). Just the way we liked it. Never had a restaurant captured all of this in a waffle that I have seen. You can also have it made with all kinds of toppings. My hubby loves the skillets. I am a pescatarian so I had the chicken. They allowed me to adjust my order for a small upcharge to wings instead of the chicken fillets. The portion size is very generous. Each time I have gone (so far) almost everyone in the group took home food from their meal. We will also return, just the two of us, because we both loved the ambiance and atmosphere."

"The greatest problem with the Steer is inconsistency. You could order an item and feel your quest for a restaurant has ended. You go back and order the same item and curse your decision to go there. They are more prone to fail. I won't be going there for a long time to come. Who wants a $25 + disappointment? Go at your own risk. The cheese wasn't melted on the pasta. The bacon was the replacement for the burnt bacon they sent earlier. The garlic bread was raw, uncooked. What was the point of it? I can buy food, cook at home, and do a better job; and, I am no Gordon Ramsey. I am not even a short order cook. But my attempt at a cooked exceeds their professional efforts. EATER BEWARE!"

"Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The only thing i didn't like was everyone not wearing their mask and there was a man who clearly had a nasty continuous cough.. and the fact that the servers didn't wear hair nets mask or gloves. In this day and time we just have to be more conscious of everyones safety"
