"Love taking my non-Arab friends to Al Shami so they can get a taste of what real shawarma tastes like"

"In terms of flavors, this place is great. The chicken shawarma is cooked to perfection. Fries are good, nothing special, just good. The prices however, are off the roof. These trucks are getting more and more expensive by the day. Portion size is okay, if you're hungry, a standard meal won't suffice but if you're for a late night snack, this would be the place to go."

"This place is the real deal!! We have traveled from the West Coast to the East Coast looking for the most authentic shawarma sandwich, the closest thing to the Syrian Street food. This place 100% hits the mark! Having just gotten back from the Middle East, we have eaten them all over the ME for many years and this is by far the closest if not same that we have had here in the United States. 100% you have to try, you will not be disappointed!!!!"

"This is the best shawarma I think I've ever had. It compares to shawarma I've had back home in Syria if not even better! It's a huge sandwich, so not only is it delicious but it is also very filling. It has become my go-to for nights I'm feeling lazy, or for when I'm craving a little taste of home. The people who work here are super friendly, especially Ali! Great vibes and delicious food, HIGHLY recommend."

"Definitely one of the best shawarma’s in town. The dudes working this food truck is pretty chill. Biggest complained is how long it takes. I would definitely call ahead, cause if you order on the spot you’re gonna wait a while"
