"Our first time on an ocean ferry. A fun experience with cool views. It takes about 30-35 min to cross and you may need to show up 30 min early. Total cost on a two way trip was 42$."

"Very affordable round trip to and from Dauphin Island. You can walk on, take a bike on or drive a vehicle on. There are two upper platforms to view from. If you are not in a car, you will be standing, but it's not a really long passage. It is nice and part of the total experience of the island."

"My husband and I rode the Mobile BayFerry to Dauphin Island, yesterday. It was so exciting! It was such a beautiful day and it was breezy, even though the sun was hot. It was still nice. There were several birds, lots of boats and a couple of ships heading out. It was very exciting to see a Dolphin on our way back, he was too fast for my camera, lol. We had so much fun!"

"We drove our car onto the ferry. Got out and stood on the upper deck. Saw dolphins out in the distance. And went on the last trip of the day. The sun was starting to set which made for an amazing ride and photos. It felt like a sunset cruise. We had just missed the previous ferry, so we got out of the car ferry lane, where you wait to drive onto the ferry, and drove around the corner and checked out Ft. Pickens while we waited for the ferry to show up. Then drove back and got in the back of the line when we were finished looking around the fort. No one cared that we left for about 45 minutes. This was not only fun, but a great experience! And made for some awesome sunset photos. I usually get motion sickness on boats, but this was such a smooth ride, I didn't need any Dramamine. I did perfectly fine without it. You can remain in your car, if you want to. But there are benches a top. Enjoy!"

"Great ride and a great price ($6 per person for the day and $15 each way for a car) for a afternoon boat ride across the bay. The workers were very helpful and up beat. We did not take our car, there is plenty of free parking, we just wanted to ride there and back. Heard there's plenty to do but we did not have the time to check things out."
