"I checked the hours online before heading to this location (Hwy 32) of Dollar General and their store hours stated they were open until 10pm. I checked Google Maps and that indicated they were currently open. When I arrived, there was a handwritten sign on the door stating the store closed at 2pm today (Saturday). Years ago when I worked as a retail manager, if your store hours were posted and advertised, you made sure your store was open. With the price of fuel and food in current times, wasted trips means wasted fuel equals wasted money."
"So twice in the past two weeks I went in and noticed both bathrooms had out of order signs posted. I know we are living in scary times but it is the law that retailers open to the public have public restrooms. Solution: Have one bathroom for employees only and the second as gender neutral."
"The GM Dan is so nice. He knows all of his customers and is genuinely glad to see you when you stop by. The other people who work here are nice too. You can tell they’re happy by the way they treat you."
"Everytime I go to dollar general I grab items that are in the clearance section and they are not on clearance. I have been cheated for years due to false advertising from them. I asked why is it an issue clerk said that it also has items they no longer stock but not clearance. Sign clearly states items in this section. Unethical shady practices by a chain that is obviously not in despair by the looks of growth and stocks. Horrible."
"Super nice employees, definitely not afraid to help customers. Store was very well organized and although we were in the swing of Opening Day for Alabama and Auburn Football season, still had a great snack selection when we needed to restock between games."
