"One of the most special spots in a very picturesque small western Michigan towns with more history and industry than you might expect. Rockford is a Michigan gem. The parks and the people who maintain them, the roads, sideways and shopping area deserve a large amount of credit for this. Peppler Park is a great example of this. From charming landscaping that is both eye catching and relaxing to the Rogue River dam that provides a serene atmosphere and some of the best trout fishing in the state as well as all the shops and eateries in the immediate walking distance (with the White Pine Trail running directly through all of this)- this park and the city of Rockford are two tributes to how wonderful and charming Western Michigan is."
