About the Business
Baldwin Canoe Rental & RV Park is West Michigan's largest and most complete provider of Canoeing, Kayaking, and Rafting. Located in Baldwin, Michigan, in the heart of the Huron Manistee National Forest, we have been serving families and groups since 1968. With a fleet of over 500 watercraft, including canoes, inflatable rafts, solo and tandem kayaks, and tubes, we set the standard in the Paddlesports rental industry. We are the only Canoe Rental serving the permitted section of the Pere Marquette National Scenic River. Our Michicraft canoes have a capacity of approximately 620 lbs, while our Hyside inflatables can hold 4 to 6 adults comfortably. Our kayaks are designed for novice paddlers and are a great way to introduce youngsters to paddle sports. We also offer tandem kayaks for one adult with a child or two adults. We launch on the river daily from 9 am to 2 pm, and all watercraft must be off the river by 6 pm. "The staff here is very nice and accommodating! A group of friends, my dog, and I did Bowmens Bridge to Rainbow Rapids, it was gorgeous scenery. They warned us it hadn't been cleared and might be a bit narrow. But it was still very manageable (even me in a canoe by myself and a dog). I highly recommend them for any of your rental needs and even spotting! It's very nice to get off at the end point knowing your vehicle is already there! Thank you guys again!!"
"No one there when we got there at 9:13, but did respond by phone right away. An hour delay got us into an awful lot of fisherman/river traffic. Equipment, needing some maintenance, but it was late season. Helped us spot a car, which was great. Could leave as soon as we got to our landing. All in all, a great day!"
