About the Business
Big Mike's Steakhouse, located at 384 Market Street in Moundville, Alabama, has been voted Alabama's Best Steak by the Alabama Cattlemen's Association. As a first come, first serve seating steakhouse, we do not take reservations or offer call ahead seating. While we do not have private party rooms, we will do our best to accommodate larger groups and ensure you are all seated together. Our locations all have a bar where you can order from while waiting for a table. If you are looking to avoid a wait, arriving early is recommended.

"This was the first time I visited and I was very impressed with the food and the service. The only problem is for this establishment to be as large as it is. There is only one restroom for each male or female. I would have like to been able to go in the restroom handle business and return to the table to enjoy. There was a small line forming to get into the restroom. The food did not disappoint it was delicious. I recommend you checking it out for your self. Oh yeah be prepared to wait in line to be seated."
"We had three of their most expensive steaks and they were all below mid. They were barley juicy, bland, and not worth the prices. The fries were really good and so was their chicken. The loaded potato didn't really seem loaded. The only thing we really enjoyed was their cheese cake, the blueberry specifically."
"$45 for an average "New York strip" and baked potato. Never managed to get a single drink refill. Caramel cake was good though. Crab claws were ok. I understand they're trying to mimic Outbacks bread with a twist but the cinnamon on top was burned. Typical small town steak place."
"Went here because Eli Gold said it was great. Ordered the ribeye to share. Ribeye was cooked perfect but really had no taste. Honestly the steak wasn't even hot and tasted more like it was cooked in a microwave. Caesar salad was very warm. Then ordered Twice baked potato casserole which tasted terrible and the potatoes were gray. So when you share and pay the $8.50 extra most of the sides have a $2.50 upcharge. So you end up paying $13.00 for two sides. Had fried mushrooms which were okay but nothing really great. All in all I left feeling like I just wasted $80.00."
"We absolutely love this restaurant! Hands down winner of the best fried shrimp ever! Their crab cakes, fried catfish, pasta, and of course their steaks are all amazing. The menu has something for everyone. The wait staff is also equally amazing, courteous, and professional. This restaurant is a local favorite and worth the drive to Moundville. Check it out!"
