"Henes Park is a great place in the city to feel like you are far away. There is a lot to do in the park like walking the trails, enjoying the view, hitting the beach or playing at the playground. The playground does have some broken equipment though. There are also spots to park and enjoy a picnic."

"To fulfill my glowing US States visited, drove from Green Bay to Menominee, Michigan. So Michigan is now my 42nd State visited. Stopped by John Henes Park for a little stroll and few pics and the park was absolutely green and lush. The view of Lake Michigan is vast and serene. The lake appeared gloomy with a skyline of grayish silver where the sun tried forcefully to penetrate the cloud and the waves hummed and crashed the rocks. The park's entrance is one-way so you have to drive the loop through the entire park. There are many recreational opportunities such biking, fishing, picnicking, swimming, and walking. It was cloudy, few raindrops, and a little chilly for me, a Floridian (53 degrees) so I did not walk a lot but that did not deter me from admiring its beautiful nature."

"Beautiful Park, our Fur Baby loved it too. Went to John Henes Park today September 18th. So today September 9th 2023 we went back to Henes Park this morning and it was just amazing. Went walking down the trails the Sun was beautiful shining through the trees and I seen a snake that I've never seen in there before. Beautiful walk with our loveable Peanut."

"Great park and trails! We really enjoyed hiking around and enjoying nature. We saw lots of deer while on the trails. The water views were pretty amazing, too. Seems like a great place for get-togethers and picnics. It was very peaceful."
