"The most remote state park in Michigan. It is not easy to get here but it is worth it. If you want any of the comforts of home, this is not the camping experience for you. The fishing is great, the weather is unpredictable and the scenery is beautiful."
"Honestly, it was life changing. I'm all set for my return this fall. These were from my 2020 trip."
"Beautiful woods, remote lake near Craig Lk. with a boat launch and 3 rustic tent sites and outhouse. Pics are early September. Nearby down a lane was a Yurt to rent. Best to use 4 wheel drive, truck, high SUV. State Park roads but basically a 2 tracker with big rocks sticking up here and there. Craig Lake had a large parking lot and way more people. Went beyond that lot and was a rougher, winding, rock laiden, 2-tracker logging road that also came out on 41, miles north or NW of where we entered."
"It's gorgeous there. It's rustic and open and dozens in campsites around the lake. You can book cabins and yurts but please book then at least 6 months in advance or you will be disappointed. Don't go on Thursday please. It's too busy on that day"
"July 17 2020, 7 miles in on a dirt road in good condition. Walked about 6 miles round trip on the Craig Lake route. The path is a service road until you pass the 2nd cabin. Trail and area is beautiful. No wildlife today. Would like to come back and camp in the future."
