"Incredible! John took my call and was able to troubleshoot my Mercury 200 HP outboard issues over the phone. Sent him a few pics, he called back with suggestions, took about an hour of back and forth and had my engine running. John would not take any money and was glad to help. This just doesn't happen these days. Would recommend Team Marine to anyone who's needing honest, reliable service."

"I would never recommend Team Marine. I wanted to have the steering looked at on my boat, so I called John at Team Marine and he said he should be able to look at it "next week". I dropped the boat off on May 13th and on quick inspection found what appeared to be a major issue. Didn't hear anything by next week, so sent him a text (his vm says to text him). No response. I get it, the boat repair shops are swamped in the Spring. Still hadn't heard anything by June 1 so texted and he said call tomorrow. Called two days later, no response. Texted a few days later...nothing. Went down to the shop about a week later. Got nothing but excuses on why he wouldn't respond or look at my boat (very busy, parts are backordered). Told me in person he would call the next week with an update. No call. By this point, I had given up. A friend and I went to take the boat away on August 20th (more than 3 months after I had dropped it off). It still hadn't been looked at to determine what needed to be done and what it would cost. John was there and offered no apologies. I get that things get backed up, but if you say next week and you still haven't gotten to it after 3 months, that's just unprofessional and no way to run a business. If a business is that backed up with work, just be honest so that I can look elsewhere. The boating season in Michigan is too short. I've heard similar complaints from others. Go elsewhere for your boat repair."

"John was excellent. He was friendly, honest and did great work. He was available after business hours on a Wednesday so I could drop my boat off. He had my boat back to me by Friday. Met me after hours again to get me back to fishing. During our first phone call he reviewed common solutions to outboards not starting over the phone. When I showed up with the boat he took extra time to show me some troubleshooting steps to diagnose the reason my outboard wouldn't start. I really appreciated the quick turnaround replacing a stator and voltage regulator. I was fishing Saturday morning. I found a new marine mechanic I would recommend to anyone."

"John has had our boat for over a month! Never touched it never stayed in contact with us! Matter of fact he would not answer my husbands calls. I had to call him from my number so he would answer. Still had nothing to tell us about our boat. Had many excuses as to why he has not looked at it. Very shaddy business!!! Husband pulled our boat out of there today. Some other guy was there for the same reason!!! Please do not take your boat here!!!!"
