"Terrible company to deal with! American Log Restoration damaged my home, poor workmanship, installed the wrong style logs onto my home, has terrible communication, and no integrity to fix their mistakes. There is so much wrong with this company and their practices that it is next to impossible to write it all in one review without writing a book. American Log Restoration has been terrible with communication for the entire process. From the start blaming me that I didn't answer their call when the initial inspector was in town, but when I called them and asked what number they called, it wasn't even my number. Ashley couldn't even give me a time when the crew would show up for work, but that i needed to be home for when the work was to be done. Ashley didn't notify me until 3:41pm that the crew wouldn't be there that day and that I needed to now be there the next day. Well for people who work for a living it may be hard to take short notice PTO for something Ashley could have easily realized and notified the customer in a timely manner. I spoke with Ashley and specifically asked for scalped logs to be installed that would match the existing logs of the home. American Log Restoration installed the wrong logs (smooth logs) and completely ignored my complaint, they cut a hole on one of the gutter downspouts, destroyed a vent hood for the kitchen, broke door and window trim boards on the exterior of the house, shorted the circuit breaker by plugging in a large battery pack into the outlet, which created a problem with our stove that then displayed an error code after the breaker was flipped back on, poorly caulked some gaps on a corner log, and knocked off a log that wasn't meant to be replaced that i had to then pay for. Ryan seems knowledgeable, but takes zero responsibility for his crews. He acknowledged they damaged the home, but does nothing but blame the customer or ignores the issue. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOOKING ELSEWHERE FOR ANY LOG MAINTENANCE YOU MAY NEED!"

"The guys did an awesome job, explaining the process, neat clean workmanship, cleaned up very well afterwards. Also took some time to discuss how best to stain and caulk everything once the wood dries out(light mist all day while they worked) Overall a great experience and easy to work with!"

"After many months of waiting due to weather the crew arrived on a Saturday around 11:00 AM. The assessed the work to be done and went at it. by 4:30 PM they were done and cleaned up. They did a great job custom fitting the logs in place. I would recommend them and use them again."
