"Mandy is nice, but the older lady who manages it is as nasty as they come. We will NEVER be staying here again. The facilities are pretty dumpy, and everything is setup to accommodate the condo, charter, and seasonal folks. When I tried to leave on a Tuesday, nobody was around to settle up (or pump us out). I called and the manager lady was extremely rude and abusive to me (and Mandy as I could hear she called Mandy on another phone). In the end we agreed to just leave cash thru the ramp payslot (after casually threatening to "send her husband" after me). She also seemed to delight in telling me "not to use their ramp" to pull out. As if their ramp is so much better than the public ramp that is literally 50 yards away!"

"Mandy and her generation and younger are friendly and helpful. Juanita is in the older generation that apparently holds the purse strings and she will torpedo the efforts of the others to provide a service and positive experience to guests. We paid the $50 launch fee and $20 per day parking fee for our truck and trailer. When we returned from our trip Juanita prohibited us from using the ramp to put our boat back on the trailer. Her reason was that they had a need to use the ramp themselves. We saw evidence that their staff did use the ramp once in a 4 hour period to put one boat on a trailer. Had we not been given the run around about whether we could or could not pull our boat out, as scheduled the week earlier, we would have been done with the ramp by the time their staff used it. The weather was quite windy that day and there was no power at the facility due to a storm the night before so their was no one else using the ramp or their nearby gas dock. Our intentions to inquire about winter storage and a longer term relationship to use this facility were torpedoed by Juanita's no-can-do attitude. It was one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in almost four decades of boating."

"I believe sentiment has clouded the vision of a previous reviewer. I cannot speak to their marine repair service, but as a transient boater to Pentwater who has stayed in at least 40 marinas on the great lakes I can say this one is in the worst condition of any we have visited. Support posts were all rickety, docks covered in green moss, spiderwebs and duck dung. The Electrical hookup boxes look to be from the 60's. No wifi. Their launch ramp (Which we did not need) but noted was $50 for a 30' boat (we have never paid more than $10 for our 32') and slip Fees the same as beautiful Marinas were to be paid in cash ONLY!! Everwhere you looked was unkept and simply dirty and worn out. Pentwater is a lovely town and the owners may be nice people but the stay here has soured it for us."

"What can I say about a life long friends place of business. Charlie and I spent our summers together. And kept his father, the town Sherriff, on our heels most summer nights. Charlie and Juanita Lamb are some of the most loved people in Pentwater. Honest upstanding folks that treat everybody the same. I can’t say enough good about them. Slips to rent for the summer or the week, boat launch and Mercury service center to take care of all of your boating needs. If you stop by give Juanita a hug and tell her it was from me. Big Charlie will give you a hardy hand shake and a grin, along with his one of a kind chuckle. You will know you found the right place when you come here. Pentwater is heaven on earth. Charlie and Juanita are a few of the angels you will find there."
