HDR Small Engine Repair

"My rope broke on my Ariens snowblower. I thought sure, this is an easy fix, I can do this. Took it apart and replaced the rope but in the process when the rope broke it did something to the spring that rewinds the rope after you pull it. I couldn't figure out the proper placement for the spring components so I gathered up the remnants of my repair attempt and stopped by to see Dan. He knew how it all went back together and fixed it right at the front counter. NO CHARGE! I went back home and reattached the rope assembly back on the snowblower and it works like new Thanks Dan!"

"Rip off. Buy new , don’t fix old - save yourself money and headache. They take the deposit and then appraise the work of the 90% value of the unit, who in the right state of mind will do that (continue with repair) . When you go “wow” and Of course the nice voice on the other end of the line will say “would you like to donate your unit now :)” Another unit was fixed, picked up while it rained - so didn’t test run on site / premises. Two days later, was running unit at home, unit will not stay idle. I called the guy to complain about the issue, not idling goes into overload mode right away, economy mode doesn’t kick in - constantly runs on high RPM, once put in “run” mode unit quits, panel wasn’t attached back on , which is electrical hazard. I called the guy back , he said he will look at it again for an extra charge , really ? How many of you people in the past or in the future, will have your unit appraised so high, so you will have no choice but to default on your deposit- bad scam practice, I don’t know how do they get away with consumers law in Michigan. Enjoy my deposit, as I’m never coming back. One more thing, they guy will blame on fuel, I don’t have a fancy jet fuel to run my generator. Bad experience for me, seems to be nice people at the beginning…"

"Told us to drop off the mower and we had to pay $40 for them to look at it. They called us and said it was gonna cost $600 to repair it. We said no will come pick it up. The part that they said was broken was not broken!! The transmission fluid was replaced but didn’t get all the AIR out! So, when we got all the air out, it worked just fine. They never looked at it or they would’ve seen that. The gears were not stripped. They were in excellent condition!! They were just trying to rip us off!"
