"This request was sent to me for a review. I've thought hard about it and decided I really don't have much to lose. 2021 after a couple of life devastating events we decided to move from Michigan to Texas. We had several conferences with our financial advisor. He stated he was licensed in Texas, so we thought at least a constant in life would be great. Once there and as we were building our house we had several conferences with our advisor which included a withdrawal. This would be later 2021. We made a trip back up to Indiana in September at which time we turned in requested paperwork.....sent to us, in Texas. However our address was never changed so $15,400 dollars went to Michigan IRS for taxes. We didn't live in Michigan. So for over a year now I have been trying to get our money back, alone. December 3, 2022 I sent a text to our advisor to call me. I have never received that call. Two weeks ago becoming more exasperated I called Howard Bailey's main office. I spoke with Ashton. She seemed to be concerned which gave me a little comfort, that was short lived. However in 2 days at the appointed time she assured me she would call, nothing. I waited most all day the next day and called again to ask to speak to Ashton's boss. I then spoke with Matt.....twice the same day. Matt was giving me all kinds of advise of which I had already done. Then Matt said "You need to call your accountant, as you paid for the service and they have skin in the game." I reminded Matt that I also pay for his services and the problem came from Howard Bailey. I made it clear I was asking for help, help to settle a problem I did not create. However Matt implied I should of somehow changed our address. I did advise Matt I do not have access to their system to do so. Matt said a lot of deflecting statements. Matt also said that our advisor was out during bereavement. Which I knew our advisor's father was ill. Again, it's been 2 weeks. I have heard nothing from anyone. We by far are not the high dollar clients, so do I expect to hear something now? Well, yes I do. I fully expect to be advised Howard Bailey is terminating their services. I contemplated trying to contact Casey Weade, the owner, however it felt like the gatekeeper, Matt, wouldn't allow that. So will I continue to fight the State of Michigan to get back our thousands of dollars, yes I will. Apparently still alone."
