"The most fantastic way to spend the day! We went through artifact after artifact and the kiddos couldn't get enough. Managed to keep everyone's attention. Worth the visit."

"Well curated and laid out. Plenty of information on everything and lots to see even though Dowagiac is small and not very old. My 2 yr old son liked the interactive waterwheel and grind stone. I especially enjoyed the underground railroad room with the hidden switch and also learning about the orphans who were brought here. Not much for little kids like mine but plenty to keep grown ups interested for an hour or so. The staff are friendly and helpful too."

"Dowagiac has a long history .. including it pioneers, Veterans (there is a Memorial in town to Union Civil War Veterans from the area) and this little town museum is now 3 floors of exhibits .. everything from locals who served in Military, the Round Oak Stoves themselves, and even the local Native American Tribes History too. Just take a chance and inspire the young ones with you to enjoy history right there in front of them."
