Leaning Tower of Niles

"Yep... there's a leaning tower here... but there's not much else to do besides look at it. It seems to be closed all the time, at least currently, so you can't go inside. The YMCA behind it is closed and abandoned for a few years, which is sad. I worked there in the 1980s and it was a nice place. Take some selfies, sit in the park around it and go have some real Chicago tavern style (thin) pizza at nearby Barnaby's."

"It's pretty cool! Glad we found this leaning tower. The garden is well maintained and the area is quite clean. Parking is easy to find. We parked right behind it. Not sure if you could park on the Aldi side but we others park there and walk to this spot. The street where this is located is Very busy. Overall, a great place to check out and take pictures."

"I remember passing by this tower on the way to my grandma's many, many years ago and glad to see it has been well maintained. Now a historic place of interest, I highly recommend the stop. Lots of busy traffic, but we had no trouble parking at an almost deserted YMCA located at the rear of the tower. The garden surrounding the tower is well kept and featured some beautiful lavender flowers for spring. Plenty of seating to relax and gaze at the beauty of the architecture. Informative plaques explain a little about it, the bells and history."
