"AFGHANISTAN - I was privileged to join Spiekermann’s trip to Afghanistan in April, 2018. The 12- day trip was led by British scholar Bruce Wannell and covered the most important historical, archaeological and cultural sites in the country. Was I afraid to travel to a country which for so long has been involved in a civil war and is on every “no fly” list? Maybe a little. But this was not my first Spiekermann trip, having traveled with the company before to Libya, Sudan, the Central Asian Stan’s, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.
