"Before boarding, saftey housekeeping was gone over. The Capital did an amzing job with at twist of humor, making us feel right at home. Once we departed, the crew offerd snacks and drinks, along with a warm blanket if needed. Sails up, and visitors were able to assist in hoysting the sails. Into the sunset we go! Nice quiet sailing to enjoy, the crew near by if needed for anything. Does not get any better than this. Highly recomended."

"Great fun even though we had to abort because of high waves and wind. The trip down river to Lake Michigan was pleasant with some great views of homes and natural areas. Saw a bald eagle pair perched near their nest. Sad that we didn't see the sunset, but happy that the captain and crew had everyone's safety and comfort as their priority."

"We sailed on Serenity. It was beautiful! The water was so smooth. The crew was amazing, just the best and so friendly! There are brand-new very nice bathrooms at the dock. Had a wonderful time, highly recommend. My only caution is we sailed on a Tuesday and when we returned it was after 930 and we were surprised that nothing was open serving food in Saugatuck, so you might want to eat dinner beforehand. We didn’t because we were concerned about seasickness, which didn’t happen for anyone on our cruise, it was so smooth!"

"Experience of a lifetime, esp. if you're aboard on a sunny day with a strong wind! Our first time on a tall ship, and it was a doozy! If you want the most thrills, sit near the bow (front) of the boat, the 2-masted, gaff-rigged, 60-foot steel schooner Serenity (with lovely teak accents): on our tour, the 4-foot Lake Michigan waves almost got Serenity airborne a few times! But our skilled, agile, & informative crew kept us absolutely safe the entire journey. Incredibly thrilling fun, and gave us even more respect for all sailors. (Plus, a lovely scenic tour of the Saugatuck-area Kalamazoo River waterfront, on our way out to the Lake: gorgeous houses & beautiful boats everywhere, but none prettier than Serenity.) Absolutely must do!"
