"Love this cabin! We are becoming regular visitors of Black Bear Cabin. We have really appreciated how the owners have taken care of it and supplied it with everything you need. It’s cozy, it’s fun, and it’s the most peaceful vacation one could ask for. If you want to go to the Keweenaw Peninsula and Copper country, and just kick back and enjoy life, this is the place to do it. The cabin is outfitted with everything anybody could need to enjoy a week or more in the UP. The owners do an exceptional job on taking care of the place. It’s clean, it’s reasonable, and most of all it’s exactly what you want from log cabin in the UP. There was a lot of thought that went into what guests would need or could want to do. The cabin is supplied with everything, from a full kitchen with cooking utensils, to firewood and forks to roast marshmallows on a campfire, to cards and games for playing at the table. This is home to me in the UP. I will be back, again and again. I’ve stayed a lot of places across the continent, but this is a personal fav. Thanks to the owners for helping make one of the best family vacation places we have ever been. Personally, it’s the place where I’ve unwound, and “unplugged” the most on any trip in my life.....total relaxation in a beautiful spot, but close enough to whatever you may need in town."

"I would but zero stars if I could. I booked a stay and then a few days later rescued a dog and the cabin doesn't allow dogs. Which is completely fine and I understand why places refuse dogs but that isn't the problem. I prepaid 400$ for my stay and on the website it says 14 day full refund. The woman would not give me my money back! I had to complain to the site verbo to get my money back. On top of that the woman actually sent me a nasty letter complaining for telling on her about my refund. The cabin itself is nice but that lady managing it is a nightmare and incredibly rude."
