"I made trips to st jo to provide them with everything they needed and then i waited almost 3 weeks for them to respond was told not talk to the attorney from the opsing side about mediation dates that they were setting me up with an attorney that handles pro-bono only fir them to wait si long I got hit with a court date and then they informed me that I should probably hire an attorney because they hadn't found one and that they couldn't direct me even on how to fill anything out or how to proceed because they had closed my case. Really that was the while point in applying and jumping through their hoops because I could not afford to hire an attorney. Now I'm left blind sided by the opposing attorneys with a court date in few day and no way to defend myself Thanks guys"

"Have so many clients on the roster that they are overwhelmed and don't seem to really care."

"I called Elder Law of Michigan about a tenant/landlord problem. They referred me to Legal Aid. Their lawyers responded immediately! They understand what I don't understand. They are eager to go to court and contest the past due amount of rent that was miscalculated for my public senior citizen housing! WOW! What a relief!"

"I'm not sure their of function or their need to be funded at this point. Even when the State Bar sends you to them stating that they CAN handle it, they just tell you they can't handle anything. What's the point of funding this with taxes if they never assist people? The person on the phone also hung up on me mid sentence when I was asking for more resources. If they aren't doing anything else, then why couldn't they help with resources? Why be so rude? People aren't contacting you when everything is going well for them, have some compassion and empathy, or find another job."
