"normally I have no problems, but.....I walked in on a Friday morning with a package and told the person behind the counter that I needed it next day. I was charged $101 for some 90 miles away destination. My customer called me on Saturday and said it was not delivered. I checked on line, and delivery was scheduled for "next business day". When I complained on Monday, I was told that was what I signed for and their job was done."

"Disgusting service, called to see if I could be 1 (literally 1) minute late to drop of my quick Amazon package with label already attached, boy on the phone said yes, (December 27th at 725pm) I drove 2 miles & at 7:31 ran to door with my packages & door locked/fully ignored, I get that it’s after close but at least say no & do not make me waste precious minutes of my day driving"

"Don’t use. Misplaced my package. Gave me a route slip that said it is returning to this store I was sending it from, instead of where it was supposed to be sent to. I didn’t realize this until I received notification from this store that they still had the package a month later! It was never sent out. Why? I went up there and told them to send it to the correct destination. They said they would and never did! It is “lost” Over $3500 in equipment!"

"This UPS Store is by far the best postal store I have been to. The owner is so warm and hands on and always greets you with a smile. Thanks for always making your customers feel so welcome even when they walk in late!"

"Very rushed, unfriendly, uncaring and unhelpful service! And it turns out it was the store manager who was "helping" me. I recently took a package to The UPS Store at Livernois and Long Lake in Troy, Michigan. The worker was distracted, rushed and unpleasant, annoyed and arguing with me for having questions about why my phone numbers weren’t coming up in her system. I was asked what was in the package and what the value was. I responded that it was a water filtering machine valued at $5000. I was told it would be $150.20 for ground shipment. Later, I found out that my daughter sent her water machine out UPS and paid only $53.30 including $40 for “insurance”. My receipt said that shipping was $21.13 with $128.25 for “service options” so I returned to the store to find out why I was charged so much and hopefully to get some money back, believing that this was a mistake. I was then told about the fees "in case it was lost or damaged" but I received no information verifying that the package was insured. I went in on a Saturday and asked to speak to the manager who was not in and was to be in on Monday. The person asked if he could help. After I explained my situation and asked what “service options” was, he said “I’ve never seen this before.” He suggested that I talk to the manager on Monday and said her name was Erica. I returned on Monday and asked to speak with the manager (Erica) about why I paid $150.20 when my daughter only paid $53.30 for the same shipment. It turns out that she was the same person who took my package when it was sent out. She told me that the “service options” was insurance at $2.50 per $100 after the first $100. She insisted that when she asked me the value, she said “in case it is lost or damaged.” She did not! And she argued the point with me even though I clearly remember that she was extremely distracted that day. I also remembered her being very curt and acting annoyed with me because I was questioning why my phone number wasn’t in their system. (I had been to this store multiple times over the years.) She said I signed and agreed with the terms so there was nothing she could do. When I asked why my daughter paid so much less, she said it was probably that she had an account with UPS and went online for shipment. The manager (Erica) said it costs a lot less that way and that she encourages me to do that too [in the future?]. She proceeded to explain that they are not UPS and that this store is a small independent business...Spare me the pity party! And yes, I will find another shipping service in the future. My unanswered questions: Why was I not asked if I wanted insurance? If I paid for insurance, why didn’t my receipt say “service options” rather than “Insurance”? Was my package indeed insured or was this price gouging? If she knew I could save money by going online and she “encourages” me to do so, why didn’t she say something when I sent out the package?"
