Independent Bank

"Update: branch and regional manager called and told me $350 is not a lot of money to them or there employees. They are sorry I was scammed but should have known using Zelle through independent banks app is not safe and they never had these scams resolved and I am out of my money. Again they referenced terms and services. As far as the employee being extremely rude they said because their workers are calloused to these matters. So just know it doesn’t matter if $1 to thousands don’t matter to these people and for them knowing Zelle is not secure but still have customers use it is crazy. I feel like this bank is criminal and can’t wait to be done with them. The most unprofessional disrespectful bank I ever been to. They recently started using Zelle but be aware they do this so they are not liable for your money. We were scammed for money and was told we should have read the terms and services and we are lucky it’s was only a couple hundred dollars and not thousands. This is insane I thought all banks were insured. Then I was told by the bank to not trust using Zelle even though the advertise on the app and website to use them. No warning about not being covered from fraud. My wife and I will be switching banks ASAP. To everyone find another bank they are closing branches frequently and are very unhelpful. The assistant manager laughed at my wife as well as me and had no knowledge about banking whatsoever. You do not want these people in charge of your money. I banked with them for over 10 years they have went down hill the last 3."

"I have been a member at independent bank all my life. It pains me but I can no longer give them my business. They have become extraordinarily malicious when it comes to there overdraft fees and are quick to give you more. When I first started using independent I felt as though they were there to genuinely help you and cared for their account holders but now, it's all about how much money/business you can bring them. This isn't the bank the same bank I knew, they have changed and not for the better."

"Horrible service. I would not suggest banking with any type of new starting buiness. They will take advantage of you needing funds and hit you with every overdraft fee possible. $2200 dollars last year alone in overdraft fees. I'm done banking with them."
