"I was buying a new truck and I grabbed the last statement from them. I was going to use them (again) but, when looking for their contact number, I noticed that they withdrew $2.00 from my account and stated the reason of "Paper Statement Fee". I also noticed that they put the monthly statement in with a state mandated tax document. This is wrong in so many ways... First, I was never told that this would happen and if this is something new, I should have been notified (beforehand). Also, I question if it is even legal to charge me for sending a statement when it was accompanied in the same envelope as a mandated tax document. I called them to cancel my account and the gentleman that answered said that I can only cancel by coming into the branch (an hour away) or send them a letter stating that I want to cancel. I understand the reasons. So I mailed them a letter requesting that they cancel my savings and send me the remaining money. About two weeks later I received a check from them and noticed that they took an additional $2. I can only imagine that they charged me for canceling my account or for mailing me the check. This is slimy and unethical."
