"I wanted to share a story with you about two of your employees at the Grand Haven office. I had a house fire in August of last year and opened an account with the Muskegon office to keep my contents money in it to purchase and replace everything. The Muskegon office was very helpful and amazing as well. Last week I was in your Grand Haven office and there was a young man and young woman there that listened to my last year of my terrible misfortunes of losing two parents, a house fire and a father that is showing signs of alzheimers. They were so nice to me and were very sincere. The young women also sent an email to get back interest for my savings account as well! The next day I was speaking with my father who was trying to get to a funeral in Grand Haven and was lost. He said that he had stopped into a credit union to ask for help and described the very two people that had been so kind to me the day before. I knew exactly where he was and who had helped him. They went out of their way to find the church that he was looking for and sent him in the right direction. I can not tell you how important it is that they took time to help him when he was confused and lost. I'm unable to be with him all the time because of work and life at this time in my life. And I'm just forever grateful that they were kind to my father who has lost a wife of more than 40 years and is showing memory loss. It's a very hard and scary world out there and for these two employees to have helped a stressed and confused citizen speaks volumes. Please extend my true appreciation to them..."
