The Children's Healing Center, located at 1441 South Huron Street in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is a unique institution dedicated to providing social and emotional healing for children with weakened immune systems and their families. Our facility offers a safe and clean environment where members can connect, play, and experience the healing power of Good. Clean. Fun.®
We understand that illness is more than just physical symptoms, which is why we focus on promoting healing of the mind and spirit in addition to the body. Our center is a place where children can be themselves without worrying about what makes them different, allowing them to just be kids and enjoy life to the fullest.
With a variety of programs and activities, including play therapy, recreation, and education, we provide a safe space for children, young adults, and families to express themselves, interact with others, and feel a sense of belonging. Our goal is to break the bonds of isolation and loneliness often experienced by those dealing with complex medical diagnoses, and to improve both mental and physical health through socialization and support.
We offer tours by appointment and our hours of operation are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:30am-12:00pm and 5:30pm-8:00pm, Friday from 9:30am-12:00pm and Friday evenings, and Saturdays (hours vary). Unfortunately, we are closed on Thursdays.
