Citgo Gas Station

"Why have the Nathan's hotdog roller machine. I've never seen a hot dog on it in 4 year... In the bun drawer is a bunch of moldy buns... So gross.... They also pick and choose who can buy more than 1 pack of cigarettes. Instead of ordering more cigarettes they limit all customers. Sound like they don't want to make money with sales. The owner must not care one bit. Also, one time I got 7 dollars in coins (dimes and nickels) as my change and the cashier looked at me like it was totally normal. Most cashier's would apologize at the minimum. Shout out the hard working Employees they have to deal with the lazy management."

"I work next door to them and I always go in for water or energy drink. Usually the workers would be busy doing stuff and I’ll wait before grabbing a cup and pouring my drink afterward I’ll approach the counter. After the first week I done this I noticed most of them will look at me instead and I’ve just ask an ice cup I tell them yes, they’ll charge me 25cents to 50 cents. Apparently this is the second time I’m being accused of stealing cups and drinks. I’ve no need. I always show up in uniform. I’m a manager at my store and usually the only one and I can’t leave until manager is present. I’ve also never stole before and to be accused without talk to or proof is ridiculous. Not just that they also banned me of any service after talking to me and saying to come in approach the counter as I done countless times b4 that I can’t be given service but now am banned. That’s why im rating you guys 1* and warning to all any other colored folks be careful going here."

"Kourtney the attendant on 08/25/23 is am unfortunately a poor representative for this business. I stood at the pump attempting to pay for 2 or 3 minutes unaware that prepaying was a requirement . There are no signs indicating this, l and in fact the pump says "insert card or remove lever to begin pumping". While I was struggling, I was able to make eye contact with Kourtney who was behind the counter, expecting that all she had to do was authorized the transaction but instead she smiled and continued to chat with other emoloyees as if saying "you dummy" I assumed it was a mistake so I returned the pump to the station and tried again, attempting to activate it. Catching Kourtney's attention I again signaled my confusion to which she continued to smirk while chat with other customers and other employees behind the counter. And no time signaling me to come inside . I finally went inside to see what the issue was. When I asked her why the pump wasn't working she said because you have to prepay. I said there was nothing indicating that on the pump and asked her why she didn't signal me to come inside. After stumbling over her words realizing she was being confronted over a simple solution and her poor service, she said because "I couldn't see you" to which I said ma'am we made eye contact, you knew exactly what was happening. A simple apology for the confusion or an explanation that the gas station requires prepayment would be helpful. I'm seeing a pattern with other people's reviews as it relates to customer service here. I'll be taking my business elsewhere."

"Rude! The only time the cashier speaks to you is to tell you your total. They are too busy carrying on with their conversations to be bothered by the customer. The gas station is gross, and half the equipment is broken down. They might as well just remove the hot chocolate machine, I have never seen it work. This gas station is a great metaphor for all of Rockford. Looks good from a distance but gross and rude up close."
